Crystal Cabin Award now seeking digital innovations

Award in "Best Customer Journey Experience" category to be presented in September

Applicants in the special “Best Customer Journey Experience” category of the Crystal Cabin Awardsnow have until mid July 2019 to submit their applications online. Introduced in 2018, the category focuses on holistic and integral innovations for passengers including smartphone apps and digital applications to improve airline product management. Last year, the Hamburg-based FLIO start-up won over the jury with its airport app.

Award to be presented in Los Angeles

The award in the special category, which is not part of the regular entry phase, will be presented on September 9, 2019 during the APEX Awards at the APEX EXPO and Aircraft Interiors Expo Americas trade fairs in Los Angeles. Then, the entry phase for the other eight categories will begin with the annual presentation of trophies during the Aircraft Interiors Expo on March 31, 2020. In Hamburg.

Flio on success course

The FLIO airport app incorporates detailed flight and airport information, terminal overview maps, direct booking options for lounges and local public transport at airports all over the world. Flio is co-operating with Hamburg Airport and its app is now the most widely used airport app for smartphones worldwide. The Crystal Cabin Award was launched in 2007 by the aviation cluster Hamburg Aviation.
