Georgian city becomes latest destination from Hamburg Airport

Wizz Air to operate twice weekly flight to Kutaisi from December

Hungary’s Wizz Air will operate a twice-weekly flight to Kutaisi, Georgia from Hamburg Airportstarting on December 20, 2019. An Airbus 320 will be operated on the new, direct flight to Georgia’s third largest city on Mondays and Fridays.

“The new trendy destination direct between Europe and Asia is of equal interest to fans of culture, nature and winter sports,” says Dr. Jörgen Kearsley, Head of Aviation Marketing at Hamburg Airport. Highlights in the region include the Gelati monastery complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as hiking and skiing areas. The new route marks Wizz Air’s fifth direct flight from Hamburg Airport.
