The Gesundheitswirtschaft Hamburg GmbH (GWHH) is celebrating its* tenth anniversary* this year. “On December 12, we will look back on ten successful years – and naturally to the future,” said Jan Quast and Birgit Schweeberg, Managing Directors. The course towards a successful future was set in January, when GWHH moved into its new premises in the south of Hamburg. “Now we have more space, for instance, for the Digital Health Hub Hamburg where we advise start-ups focusing on health about grants and partnerships,” Quast stressed.
Huge potential for digitisation in health sector
The Digital Health Hub Hamburg (DHHH), GWHH’s cluster brand, is promoting digitalisation and using digital innovations to improve the health care sector. “Digitalisation in the healthcare industry holds huge potential for improving existing processes or designing new ones. All our topics and projects reflect this,” said Schweeberg. The DHHH supports the exchange between established companies and start-ups and brings together the right partners to develop new ideas or concrete projects.
Cross Innovation Hub with the Hamburg Kreativgesellschaft
“And we’re organizing cross cluster workshops to link the innovative potential of the healthcare industry with other industries. After a successful kick-off with the Digital Hub Logistics on ‘Logistics meets Health’, we invite you to an exchange with the Hamburg Kreativgesellschaft’s Cross Innovation Hub on August 21.
AGQua – healthy and happy in old age
The Active and Healthy Quarters Uhlenhorst and Rübenkamp project focuses on health and happiness in old age and the conditions in which people can live independently in their own home for as long as possible. Partners in science, the housing industry and nursing are developing and testing a local, social supply system in Uhlenhorst and Rübenkamp using information and electrical companies. Health advice for older residents is an important part of the project, Schweeberg noted. “In May and June, interested people obtained information at two health fairs organised by the project and the new My neighbours app has been available since June and encourages neighbours to help each other.”
