Hamburg's Eatclever spreading to London

Delivery service now available in four countries

The Hamburg-based Eatclever is spreading to London bringing the number of its markets to four as it eyes even more growth. The company presently has 35 employees and operates in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Eatclever delivers freshly prepared dishes such as avocado wraps or sweet potato peanut curry to more than a hundred locations within an hour.

Tarek Müller – partner and investor

Founded in 2015, Tarek Müller, the founder of About You, joined Eatclever shortly afterwards and invested around EUR 250,000 in two investment rounds with his then business partner Stefan Knolle, Gründerszene reported. quoting Mohamed Chahin, Managing Director of Eatclever. The start-up has managed to grow by means of its own cash flow since the last round of financing in 2016. Eatclever generated over EUR 5 million in sales in 2018 and is targeting EUR 10 million in 2019.


The founders of Eatclever Robin Himmels, Marco Langhoff and Chahin work with local restaurants that prepare meals with the start-up’s recipes for advance or immediate orders. Eatclever now offers 30 dishes developed by nutritionists and cooks across Europe. The recipes can be adapted to vegetarian, vegan, low carb or high protein diets.
