Bigger and better Le Méridien opens in Hamburg

New hotel features conference centre, roof terrace and rooftop bar

The bigger and better Le Méridien Hamburg opened its doors on Monday (July 1, 2019) after adding four new floors measuring 900 square metres in size, according to the managing Munich Hotel Partners (MHP). The extension features 12 meeting, conference and event rooms and boardrooms, a four-metre-high ballroom with a large window front and a two-storey rooftop bar with outdoor terrace.

Ready for more growth

Michael Wagner, Managing Director, Hotel Operations at MHP, said: “From the very beginning, the hotel in the Hanseatic City has developed excellently.” The new event centre will help strengthen hotel operations. “This investment allows us to meet the high demand for Le Méridien Hamburg as a premium location and to prepare it for more growth in future,” he added. The current meeting rooms on the 8th floor will be modified to premium suites with a new design estimated to be completed by the beginning of September. The hotel will increase the number of rooms to 285 including 24 suites in ten categories.
