Hamburg Innovation Summit to present new technologies

Science, business and politics meet to discover new trends and innovations

The Hamburg Innovation Summit (HHIS) is set to bring together visionaries, founders, designers as well as representatives of politics, science and busines on Thursday (May 23, 2019) in the Altonaer Fischauktionshalle Peter Tschentsche, Mayor of Hamburg, Katharina Fegebank, Senator of Science, Michael Westhagemann, Senator of Economics are among the expected guests.


Leading figures in the public sector, business, science and education be present their innovations on this year’s themes Future City, New Work and Deep Tech. Panel discussions will focus on the topics of the respective tracks. The HHIS Academy is also hosting diverse workshops for new and established entrepreneurs, those interested in starting a business and scientists. Delegates can also attend the interactive EXPO with over 70 exhibitors – from the start-up to the Science Center.

Interactivity in the Speakers Corner

Young founders and start-ups will also have an opportunity to pitch their business ideas and prototypes to the audience in the Speakers Corner. The presentation of the Hamburg Innovation Awards will be just one of many highlights and will honour new, sustainable business ideas and innovative companies in the “Idea”, “Start” and “Growth” categories. The winners scoop cash prizes of EUR 3,000 each and a founder’s kit of prizes in kind.
